Fundraising is important, but "friend raising" is, too.

That's why, as part of our recruitment efforts for 2007-2008, Big Brothers Big Sisters will contact organizations throughout Niagara to offer onsite visits.

The visits will provide information about the range of volunteer opportunities we have available and their importance to the children we serve.

We invite businesses and corporations to set a goal for the number of new volunteers in their workplace.

As well, we encourage employers to give employees time during the workday to volunteer; studies show that people who volunteer perform better on the job!
